English 101 was supposed to be about basic college writing skills and literature. But Professor Ray took it a different approach. You got that impression when she dropped an F*Bomb in the 1st class. You knew this wasn't high school any longer. For this project, students were to use any two media to create whatever you wanted. So, I took my GAF Super 8 movie camera and a Radio Shack tape recorder and made a movie. Armed with fellow students who I enlisted, I chose hitchhiking. And here it is. In the film, you'll see circa 1975 DCC on Creek Road, the old Shop Rite in Dutchess Center, Howard Johnsons on Main Street, and Route 9 near Marist College and South Road, before the Galleria. The color is rough early on, but it gets better.
