First cover in probably about a year or so. Also the first one I've done with my 400 watt Marshall Mode Four half stack as it's been hard trying to get a good tone putting my shitty £20 mic in front of it. The tone here is pretty bad but at least it's half legible. Anyways I saw these guys in London last night for the third time and they were fucking banging so I thought I'd cover one of their tunes. Tuning is Drop B (B, F#, B, E, G#, C#) but I actually recorded this with my guitar tuned in Drop C# and used my Digitech Whammy to take it down the next step and although that ruins the tone a bit my string gauges aren't heavy enough to go down to B and still sound good - so this was probably the best option. I am still yet to find a way to record shit so it actually sounds how it sounds coming out of the amp and that's why I don't really do this that often anymore. Fuck spending £90 on an SM57 and even more on some good software. yee.
