IOSA - Captation of the "Connexion Event" @ the Peace Palace (The Hague, The Netherlands) What are we? An organisation representing staff members of International Organisations (hereafter "IOs") located in the Netherlands. Who are we? We are elected representatives from the Staff Associations of Netherlands-based IOs. We represent the interests of the staff and their families, not the institutions or the management who employ us. We represent both expatriate and Dutch national staff. What are our objectives? To act as a centralised collection and distribution point for information about ongoing areas of concern to IO staff members and their families and dependants living in The Netherlands, especially in the area of working and living conditions. To express the needs and raise the concerns of IO staff members before the relevant agencies of the Dutch government or local authorities (hereafter "Dutch agencies"). Our primary areas of interest include: Residence/registration (I! D) Education for family and dependants of IO staff members Medical and Social Security Working rights for spouses of IO staff members Taxation issues Voting rights Pensions / pensioners / "survivors" Children (birth registration, citizenship rights etc.) Motor vehicles Similarly to express the needs and raise the concerns of IO staff members before the management of our agencies.
